If you're looking for a high refresh rate monitor this Prime Day (opens in new tab), you are lucky. Right now there are some great deals on gaming monitors (opens in new tab) pop up, and they should linger for a few more days.
Against all logic, there are even faster displays, such as those with 240 Hz refresh rates, all of which save over $115 or more.
Take this one for example: the Samsung Odyssey CRG5 (opens in new tab)† That's a 27-inch curved gaming monitor with G-Sync compatibility that costs $160 less than usual. In fact, at $240, it's as cheap as it's ever been according to the three wise camels (opens in new tab)† For that price, you also get super-low input lag at 240 Hz, according to Rtings (opens in new tab), which is always nice. It can have some issues when it comes to ergonomics and overall response time, but at that price it's worth taking a look.
Alternatively, the Alienware AW2521HF (opens in new tab) here has some impressive stats for the price. Smooth and responsive, this 25-inch gaming monitor comes with FreeSync support to minimize screen tearing as well. It's an IPS panel, so you're also looking at great viewing angles and color reproduction.
The AW2521HF isn't the cheapest we've ever seen, but it's always nice to see money made from Alienware products, as the most disturbing thing about its products is the high price.
If you want to go a little bigger, there's another Alienware monitor for sale: the Alienware AW2720HF (opens in new tab), which now enjoys savings of $130. 1080p might be a bit of a stretch at 27 inches, but for a monitor with such speeds, we can definitely recommend it for just $300.
So if speed is what you're after, Prime Day — along with all the other non-Amazon copy-cat summer sales — seems to have you covered. Now you can pick up a pro-speed monitor for $300 or less, and that means these deals really make our mouths water.
