The MADiSON clock puzzle is one of the trickiest to solve, and if, like me, you find rooms full of ticking clocks a little unnerving, it can take you a while to come to a conclusion. It's pretty hard to think clearly when you're stuck in a haunted house and get scared at every opportunity.
In this MADiSON clock puzzle guide, I explain how to conquer the clock room. You need to unlock a certain vault to start this puzzle, and hopefully this guide will give you everything you need to solve it. Since the clock times are different for every MADiSON player, I can't give you the exact locations for each player, so you'll still have to run through haunted hallways and stare intently at clocks.
How to get the watch face
To solve this puzzle, you first need the clock face. You can get this from the locked green safe in your grandfather's office, but you'll need to find two notebooks to discover the combination. The first notebook is found in a drawer in the workshop after you unlock it with the clock key.
The second notebook can be found in the bathroom. If you combine the information about both, you get the combination: 3 left, 12 right, 8 left. Crack that safe and take the dial in it, then you can start with the puzzle.
MADiSON Clock Puzzle: How To Solve
In the clock room, you may have noticed that there are several cuckoo clocks that you can interact with. You will also notice that behind each of them there are many clocks that indicate a specific time. The aim of this puzzle is to match the time of the cuckoo clock with that of the clocks behind it† You do this by swapping watch faces around the house, starting with the one you got from the vault.
To start the puzzle, you need to insert your dial into the correct cuckoo clock in the room. This is easy to work out as the clocks behind it match the time on the face of the safe. Do that and it will release another watch face for you to take. Look around the room and find the next cuckoo clock and the time on the wall behind it. Remember that time, because that's what you're looking for. The clock with the corresponding time is located in one of four locations in the house:
- In the starting hall
- The kitchen
- The attic
- Outside Grandpa's Office
The times on each clock are different for each player, so you'll have to do some searching. Once you've found the clock with the time you're looking for, trade it in with your current clock face and return it to the correct cuckoo clock in the room. Rinse and repeat until you have placed all the correct dials. The room will go black a few times, and then all you need to do is take a picture of the door with the clock and you're done.
